For Beppu, There are traces of great history, There are people gentle, modest and courteous, There are promising careers. Suntech’s Superior Project Review Ⅲ We came to Beppu of Oita, Japan

Beppu, the pearl of Kyushu Japan, went through time and countless volcanic activities, creating Beppu hot spring prosperity of Japan’s three hot springs with steam from various hot spring hotels, dense and misty.

With craftsmanship and ingenuity, Beppu power station is one of the few to build in the National Park of Japan, located in the Aso Kujū National Park which is the old site of Amusement Park abandoned for more than 25 years and now Beppu project adjusts measures to local conditions, leaning on the mountain towards the sun to solve more stricter project demand of EIA and follows the topological structure of nature, so as to integrate and recover the beautiful interior forest of Beppu.

This project is another solar power station invested and developed by Saferay in Japan and Suntech successfully passed the assessment and completed the delivery as the sole module supplier of this project, which combined to the grid successfully in November 2018. As the benchmark of solar power station project in Oita, the total installed capacity of the project has reached 26.7MW, adopting high-efficient monocrystalline module of Suntech with a total of 89,230 modules installed within 6 months in ultra-high efficiency.

After the completion of the project, the power generation capacity could reach 33,038MWh a year, which can reduce the annual carbon dioxide emissions of 24,112 tons, equivalent to the reduction of 395,709 tons of standard coal use and provide long-term electricity output for 5,031 Japanese households. The large reduction of equivalent greenhouse gas emission provides a more sustainable solution to Beppu’s energy development, which is the common vision of Saferay and Suntech.

Just as the two things favored by Japanese nation, the gentle of the chrysanthemum and the sharp edge of the sword, the Beppu project not only respects its nature of topography condition but also explores the infinite possibilities of PV energy through keen determination and innovation on this basis.
